Exciting things happening at SVE - Rollout of Stirling's new Volunteer Portal begins!

Stirling Volunteer Portal Banner.jpg

Following investment by Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise, we are very excited to announce the rollout of Stirling’s Volunteer Portal from March 2021– a brand new digital platform that will transform the way in which people access and manage their volunteering journey. Placing control directly into the hands of the volunteer, they will be able to create their own account and immediately search and apply for opportunities to suit their interests and availability.

Stirling’s Volunteer Portal will also enable our members free access to online tools that can improve how their organisations attract, support and reward their volunteers. Our new digital portal, is built by Team Kinetic, a renowned volunteering management online software company, that have worked with SVE to create a bespoke portal for Stirling having already successfully delivered similar projects in Glasgow and Manchester.

Our investment in this platform is part of our vision to deliver Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering, a collaborative project with Stirling Council and Volunteer Scotland, that aims to grow volunteering for all.

Lots of work has been going on behind the scenes and we are in the process of writing to our third sector community to introduce the new portal and explain a bit more about how it will work.

To make this as successful as possible we want to ensure organisations are supported during the transition phase to the new portal.  To that end, we are providing early access to our member organisations from the beginning of March to have a look around. You should by now have received an invitation to register on the portal. If you haven't received any correspondence from us about this you can contact us to assist you in registering. Training and support will be provided throughout before the portal is officially launched to volunteers who will be able to access it from end of May 2021.

Early Access Event

We hosted a dedicated Early Access Event on March 3rd where we were joined by Team Kinetic. The event was attended by local voluntary organistations who had an opportunity to watch a training video and ask any questions about the Portal.

You can find a copy of the training video here.

You can also find a list of FAQ's here which will help to answer any initial questions you may have.

Training & Support Portal Forums

Members will be able to access online training tutorials and support via the portal as and when they need it, once registered.  In addition, SVE will be hosting regular support forums to bring together our third sector community to access further support and shared learning whilst they get up and running on the new portal, creating their bespoke web page and adding their opportunities.

Volunteers Week 31st May – 4th June – GO LIVE

During May, we will migrate our registered volunteers and officially launch the portal to coincide with Volunteers Week when Stirling’s Volunteer Portal will go live to the public.  To ensure the success of the portal, we need our all of our members to embrace the new portal by registering and adding their opportunities as well as encouraging all their volunteers to sign up.

  • 1 March 2021 - All members currently registered with us will receive an email inviting them to re-register with the new portal
