SVE is Looking to Hire a Volunteering Engagement Assistant
SVE is Stirling’s third sector interface; a membership organisation of locally based charities, social enterprises and volunteer-led community organisations. We aim to strengthen the third sector and broker partnerships that deliver real change by connecting people, ideas and resources.
Our Volunteer Engagement Assistants will travel to venues across Stirling to raise awareness of volunteering and encourage people to get involved. Your engagement tasks could be as diverse as running a volunteering stall at a community fayre, presenting to school students on the benefits of volunteering, or acting as a volunteering ambassador at large events.
A key part of the role will be encouraging young people to sign up for the Saltire Award, which celebrates and rewards young people for their volunteering commitment. If you are friendly and approachable, with a big interest in getting to know people and helping them to achieve their potential through volunteering, then this could be the role for you!
SVE are looking for two Volunteer Engagement Assistants who will work a minimum annualised contract of 102 hours per year. We will work with the post holder to assign engagement tasks that are mutually convenient, and where possible you will be given 1 month notice of the times you will be required to work. It is likely that you will be given two 4-5 hour shifts per month.
The selection process will include seeking PVG Scheme information.
Closing Date: 8th of November at 5PM
Interviews: Week beginning 11th of November
