Volunteers Week 2018 Call to Action!

Its not long now until Volunteers Week 2018, a national event to celebrate the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. This years theme is Volunteering for All, to highlight that anyone and everyone has valuable skills which would make them a fantastic volunteer. So are you ready to 3,2,1 Volunteer!!!

3.....Last year SVE took out a full page spread in the Stirling Observer to allow local organisations to say a personal thank you to their volunteers. Due to the success of this we have decided to do it again!!  We would like to invite your organisation to personally thank your volunteers and we will ensure that it will appear in our Volunteers Week spread which will feature in the Observer on Wednesday 6th and Friday 8th June. Each organisation can include their logo, and a personalised message to their volunteers of no more than 250 characters. Please attach a photo in jpeg format, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee all photos will be included as space will be limited. This will be at no cost to yourselves. We hope to make a fantastic visual representation of the commitment our volunteers make to our local community. We look forward to receiving your volunteer thank yous!! Please note the deadline for this is 5 pm on Friday 18th May. We regret to say that we cannot accept any Volunteer thank you's sent after this deadline.

Send your thank you to Rachel@sventerprise.org.uk

2.....Tell us about how you intend to recognise and thank your volunteers this year. Perhaps you are holding a tea party, a thank you lunch, or a celebratory walk!  There are loads of ideas and resources available here on the Volunteers Week website.  When you send your Volunteer Thank You in, let SVE know about your event and we will feature it on our website, tweet it out, and make sure everyone knows you are celebrating! Or if you have any fantastic stories about your volunteers let us know. We would love to help you celebrate them too!

1.....Why not become a Volunteers Week partner? Its quick and easy to do, you can sign up here, and your organisation will be featured on Volunteer Scotland's Volunteers Week Partner list. You can also help make an impact on social media and join the thunderclap! 500 organisations will join together to tweet out about Volunteers Week en mass. What better way to get the message across!!
