Trauma-informed workforces and practices

SVE, Stirling Community Justice Partnership and NHS Forth Valley invite you to join them in exploring trauma informed practice across the Third Sector in Stirling.

Traumatic experiences are common and trauma can affect people at any stage in their lives. We know particular sections of the population are more vulnerable to trauma and that it can have a profound impact on health and wellbeing, relationships and connections. This can lead to barriers accessing services and support which in turn can result in further adversity and poorer educational, social and economic outcomes. COVID-19 has added a further dimension and now more than ever it is essential we build on current person centred and compassionate approaches.

Aimed at all those in the Third Sector this event is an opportunity to engage in a discussion that:

  • Explores what being trauma informed means and why do it?
  • Highlights resources that are available to support organisation and workforce development
  • Shares good practice and expertise across the third sector
  • Identifies opportunities to develop and collaborate.
