Community Link Worker Project Annual Review
SVE, alongside our sister organisation, CTSI, manage the Community Link Worker (CLW) Programme in Clackmannanshire and Stirlingshire. The CLW programme supports the Health and Social Care Partnership’s prevention agenda and has developed social prescribing in the Partnership area.

This was part of the continuing development of a strong working partnership between the HSCP and the Third Sector and comprised a road trip visiting three of our SVE member organisations in Stirling's rural locations, along with much conversation during our travels!

The Stirling Community Lottery is well into its second year of operation and so far has raised over £30,000 for local good causes. This innovative initiative, managed by Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise, aims to strengthen the local community and provide vital funding for a wide range of causes, from local charities and sports clubs to community projects and social enterprises. It’s free for organisations to join and provides an entirely digital way of raising funds, as well as allowing community members to support local good causes of their choosing all while being in with the chance of winning cash prizes!

In Spring 2022, my family expanded with the birth of my third child, Jamie. Just the week before, I said a temporary goodbye to my 'work baby' as I worked up until my 38th week of pregnancy. At that point, most meetings were still online, making it easier to hide my advanced pregnancy. So, my news came as a surprise to many!

Earlier in 2023 SVE carried out a survey of members to inform our training programme for the year ahead. We were keen to find out more about the training needs of local third sector organisations so that we could more effectively tailor our training programme to meet those needs. SVE designs and delivers many programmes in-house but are also keen to provide access to training opportunities offered by other third sector organisations such as GCVS in Glasgow, and CVS in Falkirk alongside partners such as NHS Forth Valley Health Promotion.
