Launch of Stirling's Volunteering Action Plan

SVE was delighted to launch Stirling's Volunteering Action Plan on Tuesday June 6th  2023, during Volunteers Week. This pioneering action plan, which is the local response to Scotland’s Volunteering Action Plan, aims to create a thriving volunteering ecosystem in Stirling by fostering collaboration, enhancing opportunities, and harnessing the invaluable contributions of volunteers.

Stirling's Volunteering Action Plan was developed through extensive consultation and engagement with key stakeholders: Stirling Council, Active Stirling, NHS Forth Valley, Police Scotland, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, PLUS Forth Valley and University of Stirling Student Union.

This collaborative approach ensures that the plan is aligns with the needs and aspirations of Stirling’s community, maximising its effectiveness in driving positive change. The plan set out the actions that will be taken forward initially, including those from the national plan, to realise the shared aspiration – to increase volunteering participation for all.
