Former SVE colleague Anne Knox awarded MBE for services to charity governance.
SVE are delighted to announce that their former colleague, Anne Knox, has been awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List for services to the good governance of small charities.
This recognition is richly deserved and reflects Anne’s outstanding contribution to the third sector over many years. Through her work, Anne provided expert guidance, reassurance and practical support to countless charities, with a particularly strong impact on organisations within Stirling and the surrounding area.
During her time working with SVE, Anne was a trusted advisor to members, supporting boards and staff to strengthen governance, improve accountability and build resilient, well-run organisations. Her depth of knowledge, calm approach and genuine commitment to the sector made a lasting difference to the charities she supported and the communities they serve.
This honour recognises not only Anne’s professional expertise, but also her passion for empowering small charities to operate effectively and sustainably. The team at SVE are delighted to congratulate Anne on this outstanding achievement.
Natalie Masterson, SVE Chief Officer, said,
‘We are thrilled to celebrate Anne’s remarkable dedication and impact. Her commitment to supporting the third sector and strengthening communities across Stirlingshire is truly inspiring, and this award is a very well-deserved recognition of her work.’
Anne Knox, said,
‘I am deeply grateful and truly honoured to receive this award, and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate me. While I am the recipient, this award very much reflects the collective effort of the teams I have had the privilege to work alongside. I want to thank my colleagues and peers, whose commitment and professionalism have continually inspired me.
Above all, it has been a privilege to work with so many dedicated trustees, staff and volunteers who give their time and energy to support their communities, and to see at close hand the difference their work makes. Small grassroots charities play a vital role across Scotland, and I have always believed that strong governance helps them to thrive and make the greatest possible impact. I am very grateful for the opportunity I have had to support the sector, and for the many people who have shared their knowledge, commitment and encouragement with me along the way.’
